South Florida CPCU Society Chapter Networking Cocktail (April 11, 2019)

Join us April 11, 2019 (from: 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm) as the South Florida CPCU Society Chapter hosts a presentation and networking cocktail event in the 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant in Miami, FL. The topic of the presentation is Active Assailant Insurance. It shall discuss the risk exposures organizations face and the coverage developments that have taken place to deal with active assailant events. The presentation will be followed by a cocktail reception.

Peter Bransden, Vice President of Crisis Management at Aspen Insurance will be discussing Active Assailant Insurance. Said coverage is essential to protect and help businesses recover from the aftermath of active assailant events. The details of the presentation are as follows:

Speaker Bio:

Name: Peter Bransden

Title: Vice President – Crisis Management

Peter leads Aspen’s Crisis Management team in Miami, which focuses on Kidnap & Ransom, Terrorism & Political Violence and Active Assailant coverages across the entire Americas.

His career began in 2010 in the Lloyd’s market in London, before moving to Miami in 2015. Peter sits on the Lloyd’s Miami working group, and is on the management committee for the Reinsurance Under 40s Miami Chapter. Peter is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and has presented on the topic of Crisis Management insurance to conferences in Europe, the Middle East and North America. Peter joined Aspen in 2010 having graduated from the University of Oxford with an undergraduate degree in Geography and a Masters in Latin American Studies.

Aspen is a leading global specialty insurance and reinsurance company, specializing in providing customized underwriting solutions to clients and brokers across an array of geographies, products and perils.

Networking Cocktail:

The presentation will be directly followed by a networking cocktail where you will have a chance to meet fellow CPCU designees and insurance industry professionals. The cocktail reception will be an open bar format. The drink selection will be beer and wine. Hors d’oeuvres will also be provided.
